Cast iron wine corking machine

This isn't just an early 1900's wine corking machine - it is more fitting as a sculpture.
 
Crafted beautifully like a piece of art, this corking machine had a very important job at its vineyard home.
 
Every bottle would be placed on the platform, then the lever would be used to push the cork into the bottle.  Spilt wine is collected in the bowl beneath.
 
You will find "Mouiller le Bouchons" embossed on it which means "wet the corks."
